Linda Sue Perry

Funeral services for Linda Sue Perry, 68, Pottersville, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Curry Street Church of Christ, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

 

Mrs. Perry passed away at 5:15 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 at her home.

 

She was born July 5, 1948, at Bakersfield, Missouri, to Roy Thomas Strain and Pearl Evelyn Gillette Strain.  Linda received her education in the schools of Bakersfield, Missouri, graduating from Bakersfield High School with the Class of 1966.  On March 9, 1968, she was married at Bakersfield, Missouri, to Henry Perry.  Mrs. Perry had been employed as a lead checker in quality control and office worker for Baxter Lab, Mountain Home, Arkansas for twelve years, and was also employed as a financial counselor at Ozarks Medical Center of twenty-nine years.  Mrs. Perry was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and served as a Deacon’s wife for many years.  Linda attended Curry Street Church of Christ of West Plains.  She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister.  One of her special interests was collecting antique dishes and crocks.  Linda truly treasured her time with her family and making memories.

 

She is survived by her husband, Henry Perry, of the family home; two children, Scott Perry, South Fork, Missouri and Nathan Perry and wife, Joanna, Pottersville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Chris Perry, Landon Perry, Audrey Perry, Elijah Perry and Elliott Perry, all of Pottersville; one brother, Charles Strain and wife, Betty, Moody, Missouri; four sisters, Reba Wade, Shawnee Mission, Kansas, Glenna Hall, West Plains, Missouri, Verlene Halford, Bakersfield, Missouri and Louise Perry, Kalamazoo, Michigan; one sister-in-law, Wilma Strain, Coloma, Michigan; four brothers-in-law, Elden Goodwin and wife, Donna, Mountain Home, Arkansas, James Perry and wife, Pottersville, Missouri, Tim Perry and wife, Trish, West Plains, Missouri and Wayne Halford, West Plains, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

 

Her parents, three brothers, Claude Strain, Loyd Strain and Jerry Strain, six sisters, Barbara Hall, Betty Talley, Bonnie Strain, Wanda Perry, Marsha Goodwin and Udean Halford, two sisters-in-law, Barbara Strain and Joann Strain and five brothers-in-law, Onard Halford, Aurthur (Junior) Perry, Clyde Hall, Dale Hall and Jack Talley, precede her in death.

 

Mrs. Perry will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Monday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Pottersville Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Pottersville Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
