Bertha Eunice Epley Collins

Funeral services for Bertha Eunice Epley Collins, 96, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

 

Mrs. Collins passed away at 9:58 p.m., Sunday, May 28, 2017, at West Vue Nursing Center.

 

She was born September 9, 1920, in Ozark County, Missouri, to Hurvel and Jessie Driskell Epley.  On November 22, 1938, she was united in marriage to Leemon Collins, who preceded her in death on December 19, 1994. Mrs. Collins worked on the farm with her husband most of her life. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and was a wonderful cook; her greatest joy was her family. Mrs. Collins loved the Lord and was a member of the Church of God. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

She is survived by three children, Juanita Cobb and husband, Dwayne, West Plains, Leroy Collins and wife, Linda, Dora, Missouri, and Gary Lee Collins and wife, Nancy, Dora, Missouri; six grandchildren, Sandy Cobb Roberts and husband, Greg, West Plains, Doug Collins and wife, Tammy, Scott Collins and wife, Retta, Shana Hambelton and husband, Shawn, Renee Collins and Lindsay Collins, all of Dora, Missouri; thirteen great-grandchildren, Abbey (Ross), Maddi, Sydney, Keena (Joey), Dakota (Langley), Kylie, Latham, Derik (Alex), Dillon (Molly), Riley, Davin, Kaitlin, and Shanea (Michael); seven great-great-grandchildren, Jasymne, Kynslee, Kolt, Kansys, Titus, Leroy, and Dwight; one brother, Don Epley, Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Lorena Freeman, Omaha, Nebraska; and many nieces and nephews.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Ella Dobbs and Ethel Collins, two brothers, Roy Epley and Windell Epley and one grandson, Gregory Dwayne Cobb.

 

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., until 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.
