Bob Hanna

A Celebration of Life service for Robert Graham Hanna, 69, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017, with visiting afterward at the family home. 

 

Mr. Hanna passed away at 9:45 p.m., Friday, June 9, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

 

He was born November 16, 1947, at Brookville, Indiana, to Arthur Hanna and Frances Isabel Lake Hanna. He was a graduate of Brookville, Indiana High School and was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army.  Bob started his career in the pallet and machinery industry operating cut-up equipment.  By 1975, he was selling bulk pallet nails nationwide.  In 1978, he went to work for Pendu, Inc. as a regional sales representative for the Midwestern states.  He started Bob Hanna Machinery Sales Company in 1978 and West Plains Machinery Company in 1983; this led him into designing, building and selling pallet and sawmill equipment.  Bob was widely known in the pallet and machinery business.  He was a member of the Elks Lodge and West Plains AmVets and in years past enjoyed hunting and the outdoors; he loved traveling and being on the go.  Bob always wanted everyone around him to have a good time and was known to be generous to those in need.

 

He is survived by his best friend and love Patty; four daughters, Michelle Houseman husband, Bob, and her children, Brittany and husband, Nick, Brett, Blake and wife, Angel and her grandsons Noah and Bryce and her step-daughter, Jessica, Lexi Bridges and husband, Rory, and her children, Aven, Paxton and Huck, Bonnie Hurst and daughter, Cadence, Kayla Bonham and husband Travis, and their children, Tuck, Tate and Tinley; father-in-law, Gene Weslow and wife, Kim; and many friends and family members; and his best furry friend, Lacey.

 

His parents, one brother, Dude Hanna, two sisters, Norma Bell and Betty Garnett, mother-in-law, Bonnie Weslow and his beloved dog, Molly, precede him in death.
