Judy Albin

Funeral services for Judy Odella Albin, 78, Grandview, Missouri, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

 

Mrs. Albin passed away peacefully October 31, 2017 at Kansas City Hospice House surrounded by family.

 

She was born June 26, 1939 to Oba and Delphia (Lawrence) Jarvis at Elijah, Missouri.

 

She graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1957.   She married Ben Albin on May 29, 1965 at West Plains, Missouri and had 52 wonderful years of marriage. Judy and Ben resided in the Kansas City area where they raised two children, Casey and Kim, while Ben worked as an electrician as a member of the IBEW #124. She was the proud grandmother to Max and Charlie. Judy was a loving homemaker constantly caring for her family. Anyone that ever visited Judy’s home was always well fed and made to feel at home. Judy enjoyed spending time with friends and family, relaxing at their cabin at the Lake of the Ozarks, and listening to Country and Bluegrass music.

 

Judy is preceded in death by her mother and father, sister, Sandy, and son Casey.

 

She is survived by her husband Ben; daughter Kim Dunmire, and husband Mark; two grandchildren Max and Charlie Dunmire; brother, Jack Jarvis; sister, Carrie Babb and husband, Don; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Judy was a kind, gentle, and peaceful soul whom was a blessing in the lives of all those that were lucky enough to have known her.

 

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Baptist Hill Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House or Salvation Army and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
