Mary Henderson

Funeral services for Mary Lula Henderson, 82, Carthage, Missouri, formerly of West Plains, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 30, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Henderson passed away at 1:38 p.m., Friday, November 24, 2017 at National Health Care, Joplin, Missouri.

She was born January 29, 1935, at Tucson, Arizona, to Johnny Andrew Jemes and Zelma Ione Letterman Jemes.  On April 27, 1951, she was married at Niangua, Missouri, to Bobbie “Bob” Gene Henderson, who preceded her in death on December 9, 1997.  She was a co-owner with her husband, Bob, of West Plains Glass Company for forty-seven years.

She is survived by two children, Debbie French and husband, Tom, West Plains, Missouri and Diana Block and husband, Larry, Carthage, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Tammy Henderson; nine grandchildren, Davy Henderson, Denny  Henderson, Ashley Workman, Brook Lockett, Chad French, Brittany French, Clint French, Rayce Lashley and Reggie Lashley; eleven great-grandchildren and one on the way, Taylor, Tafton, Gracie, Katie, Toby, Brody, Grady, Ruby, Kaylee, Paisley and Alaina; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, John Edwards Jemes; one sister, Betty Ann Day; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, one son, David Henderson and one sister, Doris Helen Avers, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Avalon Hospice, Joplin, Missouri and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
