Charles Dearl Hopkins

Memorial Services for Charles Dearl Hopkins 65, Glendale, Missouri, will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at New Liberty Church, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:30 p.m., at the Hampton Inn – London Room.

 

Mr. Hopkins passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 26, 2017, in St. Louis County, Missouri.

 

He was a loving son to Sylvia (James) Hopkins nee Romans and the late James Edwin Hopkins; beloved husband of Mary Hopkins, nee Cassilly; devoted Dad to Christine (Rafael) Rodriguez, James P. (Jamie) Hopkins, Drew Hopkins, Erin Hopkins-Meadows; step-Dad to George Wilson and John Mehrtens; grandfather to Miranda (Matthew) Rodriguez-Johnson, DJ Hopkins, Sylvia Hopkins, Kyle Hopkins, Gavin Schaper-Hopkins and Jude Meadows; cherished brother to Larry (Debbie) Hopkins, Gayla Hopkins and Robin Vonallmen; brother-in-law to Louise (Bill) Bullock, Will (Julie Oak) Cassilly, Anna (Dakota Otto) Cassilly, Joan Peterson and Ellen (Frank Konhaus) Cassilly; loving uncle to Missy (Mark) Williams and family, John Allen Hopkins family, Daisha Mitchell and family, Raven Hale and Robyn Bray and family, Carol Huff and family, Jessica Hopkins, Erin (Mike) Torney, Theresa (Peter) Cohen, William (Stacy) Bullock and family, Dave Bullock; and cousin, nephew and friend to a great many.

 

His father, brother, Rick Hopkins, granddaughter, Marissa Rodriguez Hopkins and nephew, John Hopkins, preceded him in death.

 

Chuck was incredibly hard-working, creative and industrious.  Outside of work he enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding and spending time with his family.  He loved making others laugh and smile with his joking ways and sparkling eyes.  He is at peace and no longer in pain.  Most heard comment, “He was a good man, a very good man!”
