Paul J. Ryburn

Visitation Services for Paul J. Ryburn, 96, West Plains, Missouri, will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Ryburn passed away at 4:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at his home.

 

He was born December 13, 1920, at Chillicothe, Missouri, to Jacob Horton Ryburn and Hazel Lena Rensch Ryburn.  He graduated from Central High School, Springfield, Missouri and attended Drury University.  On August 13, 1944, he was married at Kansas City, Missouri, to Dorothy Neumeyer, who preceded him in death on June 4, 2012.  Mr. Ryburn was a veteran, having served with the United States Navy during World War II; he was a lieutenant in the Asian Pacific Theatre.  He was a supervisor of flight publications for forty-one years at T.W.A. (Trans World Airlines), having retired in 1982.  Mr. Ryburn enjoyed fishing, woodworking and working on cars for his family and friends.

 

He is survived by one son, Paul Jay Ryburn and wife, Karen, Pomona, Missouri; one grandson, Paul Justin Ryburn and wife, Kati, Fenton, Missouri; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob C. Ryburn and Allexa Mackenzie Ryburn.

 

His parents, wife and one brother, Richard, preceded him in death.

 

A graveside service will be at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2017, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.robertsondrago.com.
