Shane Young

Shane Allen Young, 32, West Plains, Missouri, passed away at 3:16 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.

In honor of Shane, there will be a gathering of family and friends at the Patrick Bridge Access, near Dora, Missouri at 12:00 Noon Saturday, April 28, 2018.  Following the gathering, there will be a potluck meal.

Shane was born July 6, 1985, at West Plains, Missouri, to Glenn Allen Young and Elizabeth Marie Tidwell.

Shane believed that he was a free spirit.  He strapped a backpack on his back and traveled this country extensively.  He believed that there was a light and that you were destined to follow that light.  Shane met numerous people during his travels that he considered friends.

He is survived by his father, Glenn Young; three brothers, Grant Young, Roman Young and Cody Tidwell; one sister, Hannah Young; his grandmother, Barbara Young; and numerous other family members.

His mother preceded him in death.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Shane Young Fund at Community First National Bank to assist the family in medical and funeral expenses and may be left at the bank or at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
