Dennis Ray Mahan

Graveside services for Dennis Ray Mahan, 52, Pottersville, Missouri, will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Oak Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Mahan passed away at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at his home.

 

He was born June 11, 1965, at West Plains, Missouri, to Wendell Wayne Mahan and Juanita Ida Hopkins Mahan.  Mr. Mahan had worked in social services and law enforcement for many years and was a former member of the Sheriff’s Reserve.  He was a probation and parole officer with the Missouri Department of Corrections, currently serving Oregon County.  Dennis never saw a stranger and always had time to visit; he was always happy to help everyone.  He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.

 

He is survived by one sister, Linda Taylor and husband, Leon, West Plains, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Janice Mahan, West Plains, Missouri; a special nephew, Rick Taylor and wife, Shawanna; special niece, Angela Mahan Lindeman; several other nieces and nephews, Denna Stockman and husband, Mike, Donna Danahy, Ron Danahy and wife, Nancy, Patrick Danahy and wife, Joann and Tyler Taylor and wife, Jeanette; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

His parents, one sister, Peggy Danahy and husband, Richard, one brother, Dwayne Mahan and many aunts and uncles, preceded him in death.
