Donald Roy Eagleman

Funeral services for Donald Roy Eagleman, 75, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2018 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Eagleman passed away at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, June 28, 2018 at West Vue Nursing Center.

 

He was born January 31, 1943, at Leota, Missouri, to Roy Thomas Eagleman and Sylvia Belle Burden Eagleman.  Donald graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1960 and then furthered his education at Missouri School of Mines, Rolla, Missouri, obtaining a bachelor’s degree with the Class of 1964.  He immediately went to work as a computer programmer at Boeing in Leavenworth, Kansas; and later was a systems analyst at NCR in Wichita, Kansas. On September 19, 1970, he was married to Patricia Joan Bass at the Cleveland Avenue Church of Christ, Wichita, Kansas.  After his retirement, Mr. Eagleman moved to West Plains where he was a member of the West Plains City Charter Commission.   He enjoyed reading, studying theology and leading bible study groups at Pleasant Valley Manor.  Mr. Eagleman was a member of West 160 Church of Christ and had been a member in the Church of Christ for more than 30 years in Wichita prior to moving to West Plains.

 

He is survived by one son, Patrick Eagleman, Mudelein, Illinois; his former wife, Patricia J. Eagleman, Wichita, Kansas; two brothers, Arthur Eagleman, Tomball, Texas and David Eagleman and wife, Sharon, Garber, Oklahoma; two sisters, Ida Mae Cawvey and husband, Leon, Moody, Missouri and Rebecca Beasley, West Plains, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

His parents and one sister, Vivian Busenbarrick, preceded him in death.

 

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 6, 2018 at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Free Union Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Free Union Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
