Zelda Mae Vandergriff

Funeral services for Zelda Mae Vandergriff, 87, Salem, Arkansas, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2019 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Vandergriff passed away at 8:45 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2019 at NHC Healthcare.

She was born September 21, 1930, at Truman, Arkansas, to Hassel Peter Booth and Frankie Thelma Secrease Booth.  Zelda attended the Staten and Salem, Arkansas schools.  On June 21, 1947, she was married at Truman, Arkansas, to Earnie Ray Vandergriff, who preceded her in death in 1994.  Mrs. Vandergriff worked at Baxter Lab for twenty-two years.  She loved to work at home on the farm and being outdoors; she loved her family, friends, animals, God and country.  Mrs. Vandergriff was very creative and enjoyed needlework, crocheting, woodworking, taxidermy, leatherwork and carpentry.  She was baptized with her husband, Ray and was a Christian.

She is survived by one son, Hassel Vandergriff and wife, Alice, Moko, Arkansas; one sister, Ruby Kain, New Albany, Mississippi; one sister-in-law, Sue Booth, Salem, Arkansas; one uncle Harold Secrease, Ash Flat, Arkansas; one aunt, Wanda Lee Secrease, Harrisburg, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; and her special pet dog, Teddy Bear.

Her parents, husband, one brother, Curtis Booth, one brother-in-law, Rupert Kain and several aunts, uncles and cousins, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the State Line Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to State Line Cemetery or Alzheimer Association and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
