Dorothy Ball

Funeral services for Dorothy Ann Ball, 86, Koshkonong, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Thayer Freewill Baptist Church, Thayer, Missouri, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ball passed away at 8:00 a.m., Friday, March 15, 2019 at her home.

She was born February 20, 1933, at Koshkonong, Missouri, to Elmer Franklin Bruner and Adele Elizabeth Nuelle Bruner.  Dorothy graduated from Koshkonong High School.  On June 5, 1951, she was married at Camp Gordon, Georgia, to Justus Mark Ball.  Her family was her life; she enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery, gardening and canning.  Mrs. Ball attended Thayer Freewill Baptist Church, Thayer, Missouri.

She is survived by her husband, Justus Ball, of the family home; nine children, Mark Ball and wife, Ann, Batesville, Arkansas, Mike Ball and wife, Exey, Hereford, Texas, David Ball and wife, Terri, West Plains, Jim Ball and wife, Rhonda, West Plains, Kenny Ball and wife, Diana, Koshkonong, Bobby Ball and wife, Janet, Koshkonong, Charley Ball and wife, Angie, West Plains, Shirley Wood, West Plains and Lorie Jenkins and husband, Ryan, Thayer, Missouri; twenty-seven grandchildren; fifty-one great-grandchildren and one on the way; twelve great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; one brother, Virgil Bruner, Louisburg, Missouri and one sister, Florence Heck, Perry, Iowa.

Her parents, one infant daughter, Patricia Ann, one sister Alice Cook and her husband, James, daughter-in-law, Hope Ball, great-great-grandson, Beckham Hansen, sister-in-law, Nancy Bruner and brother-in-law, Melford Heck, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Wayside Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Gideon Bible Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
