Leo Lester Thompson, 84 years, 6 months, 6 days old, passed away on December 26, 2020 at Ozark Riverview Manor in Ozark, MO.

 

Leo was born June 20, 1936 in Bakersfield, CA to Dwight and Evaline (Marler) Thompson.

 

Leo was retired and had worked at Del Monte in Illinois then transferred to CA as a Mechanic. Later when he moved to Douglas County, MO was a dairy farmer for years and also owned the Tri Lakes Motors Dealership in Forsyth. Leo also enjoyed working as a Carpenter building homes.

 

Leo and Kay Sherwood were united in marriage July 28,1956 at Rochelle, IL and to this union were blessed with four children. Kay preceded in death.

Later on he married Maxine Odom on April 28, 2013 in Ava.

 

He enjoyed caving, motocycling with his dog, Connie May and rebuilding motorcycles, scuba diving, watching westerns, wrestling and he loved bowling.

 

Leo was preceded in death by parents and his first wife Kay in 2011.

 

He is survived by his wife Maxine, four children and their spouses, Bill & Barbara Thompson, Debra & Rollan Stewart, Cathy & Randy Tate, and David & Sherrie Thompson, 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one brother and wife, Leonard & Norma Thompson,  step son and wife, Jim & Linda Odom, other relatives and friends.

 

Family Graveside Memorial services for Leo will be Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fannon Cemetery.
