Donald Gene Ellison

Graveside services for Donald Gene Ellison, 76, Caulfield, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Baptist Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Ellison passed away at 9:30 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2022, at his home.

 

He was born May 31, 1945 at Tarkio, Missouri, to Sherman Ellison and Ruth Velma Halford Ellison.  He attended school at Bakersfield, Missouri, and graduated with the Class of 1964.  On December 1, 1967, he was married at Caulfield, Missouri, to Georgia Francis Marshall.  They were married for fifty-four years.  Mr. Ellison was a carpenter and a farmer, and he did maintenance at Cloud 9 Ranch.  He was a member of the Missouri National Guard’s Military Police Company in West Plains.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and watching birds.  He loved his grandchildren, and he especially loved his great-grandchildren and his dog, Pete.  Mr. Ellison was a member of Bridges Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

 

He is survived by his wife, Georgia, of the family home; three children, Donald Eugene Ellison and girlfriend, Janet, Caulfield, Missouri, Danita Lee Wolf and husband, Rex, Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, and Melinda Kay Perkins and husband, Lonie, Republic, Missouri; three grandchildren, Brandie Joice, Kathrine Neer and husband, Franklin, and Cassidy Ellison; three great-grandchildren, Sheyenne, Jonathan, and McKenzie; one brother, Dennis Ellison and wife, Laura, Moody, Missouri; and one brother-in-law, Wayne Marshall and wife, Selena, Stover, Missouri.

 

His parents, three great-grandchildren, Samuel, Stacey, and Brattany, two sisters, Rosa Lee Burr and Lyndall Kay Kuk, three brothers-in-law, Clay Burr, Jim Kuk, and Dale Marshall, one sister-in-law, Terri Ellison, one nephew, Dakota Ellison and one niece, Amanda Warren, preceded him in death.

 

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Baptist Hill Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Hill Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO  65775.
