Genon Gay Stone

Genon Gay Stone of West Plains, Missouri, passed away on February 28, 2022 at Ozarks Healthcare.

She was born September 19, 1948, in Myron, Arkansas, to Virgie Mae and Millard Gill.  Genon was the mother to three children: Jennifer Conroy, David Zaremba, and Tonya Colopy, as well as nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Genon is survived by four siblings: Cletis Gill, Lannie Gill, Patti Ann Bongers, and Christine Fox, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her grandson Bryce Zaremba and her nephew Travis Gill.

Genon was artistic, creative, and crafty. She was an accomplished painter, prolific with crochet, and productive with embroidery. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. Genon adored her pomeranians, Teekie and Rickena, who were her loving companions.

As Genon wrote: “Do all you can do while you’re living and make every day count. Love your children and they will love you back as you all have me. To the rest of my family, grandchildren, friends and all, thank you for being part of my life. Please remember me with a smile. I love you all. See ya in Heaven.”
