Lawrence Eugene Bentley

Graveside services for Lawrence Eugene Bentley, 76, Caulfield, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 18 , 2022, at Bean Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Bentley passed away at 5:34 a.m., Friday, May 6, 2022, at his home.

He was born February 3, 1946, at Gamaliel, Arkansas, to Alexander Bentley and Nancy Catherine Cowart Bentley.  Mr. Bentley was a Veteran, having served with the United States Army.  On September 19, 1970, he was married at Henderson, Arkansas, to Barbara Behrens.  Mr. Bentley enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking and time with his family and grandkids.  He was a Christian and a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post 374  at Bakersfield, Missouri.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bentley, of the family home; four children, Theresa Pitchford and husband, Rick, Galina, Missouri, Michael Shannon Bentley and wife, Shawn, Caulfield, Missouri, Myles Wayne Bentley, Caulfield, Missouri and Amber Renee Evans and husband, Matthew, Bakersfield, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, Zachary, Kenra, Brianna, Hunter, Caroline, Savanna, Grady, Nash, Abbigayle, Dessirae and Delbert Finn; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Bentley and Thomas Bentley and wife, April; four sisters, Nancy McCormick, Dixie Edwards and husband, Paul, Genevieve Dahn and Lola Comstock and husband, Gordon; one sister-in-law, Doris Bentley; and several nieces and nephews

His parents, four brothers, Bruce, Wendal, Alex Jr., and Edward Bentley and one sister, Polly Hall preceded him in death.
