John Eddy Durham

Graveside services for John Eddy Durham, 79, Kansas City, Missouri, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2022 at Fore Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Durham passed away on May 18, 2022.

He was born to the late Tommy and Maye Durham on November 18, 1942. He married the love of his life, Sharon F. Durham and was employed as a laborer for the Centainteed Fiberglass Co. for 38 years. Often, John enjoyed joking or playing silly pranks on those around him. He was an avid hunter and   fisherman who had spent a lot of his time in the great outdoors. John had a great joy for coaching little league baseball and watching the Royals or the Chiefs. He could fix or build just about anything.  John would do anything for anybody and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his daughter, Shonna Spair; two sons, Shane (Tena) Durham and Daniel (Kellie) Durham; four grandchildren, John Butts, Cori Mosiman (Maverick), Colton Durham and Alexis (R.J.) Procelll; one great-grandchild, John Procell; four brothers, Alvie (Maxine) Durham, Jimmy (Caroline) Durham, Tilman (Elaine) Durham and JT (Faye) Durham.

He was preceded in death by parents, wife, four brothers, Thomas Durham, Oscar Durham, Haman Durham and Huey Durham and four sisters, Margie Ann Horton, Marzie Cropper, Linda Brewer and Flonnie Fay.

 

Visitation service will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Missouri Disabled Sportsman Organization, Hospice House of NKC Hospital or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO  65775.
