Shirley Jane Morrison

Graveside services for Shirley Jane Morrison will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2022 at Howell Valley Cemetery.

 

Shirley Jane Morrison took the hand of Jesus on September 7, 2021 and completed her journey home.

 

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was born in Clayton, Michigan on November 7, 1933 to Earl Underhill and Doris Owen. Shirley was a creative, resilient, independent and faithful little girl who charted her own path in this world. Shirley found her soul mate and married Robert G. Morrison in April of 1957 in Tampa, Florida. She created a home of love and adventure in which their three, very fortunate children were raised. Shirley was an Air Force wife, providing support and guidance to other wives along the way. She was a psychologist and provided counseling services to a diverse population throughout her professional career. Shirley enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading, traveling, and entertaining. Her favorite past time however, was duplicate bridge and she was quite proud of her Gold Master designation.

 

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother Virgil Underhill, her sister Melva Clements, and her son Robert G Morrison II.

 

She is survived by her daughters, Lori L. Harris and husband, Sidney, Tina N. Krysiak and husband, Richard S. Jr.; her grandchildren, Zachary G. Morrison and wife, Emily, Sarah Jane Walters and husband, Steve, Richard S. Krysiak III and wife, Adrienne, Jacob A. Krysiak and Samantha J. Krysiak and husband, Ryder Jones; and her great-grandchildren, Clara Rose Walters, Louis Gideon Morrison, Charlotte Louise Krysiak and Caroline Avery Morrison.
