Kineth Galin Launius

Graveside services for Kineth Galin Launius, 85, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Launius passed away at 11:48 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Ozarks Healthcare.

 

He was born March 16, 1937 at Malden, Missouri, to Coy Launius and Henryetta Wylie.  On February 7, 1959, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Irma Marie Crow, who preceded him in death January 4, 2021.  Mr. Launius was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy.  He was a Master Baker, and proudly worked in the food service industry for sixty-seven years.  He was a Master Gardener.  His favorite flower was the dahlia, and he won many prizes for them.  Mr. Launius was a beekeeper, and an avid auction goer.  He was a Mason.  He was of the Christian faith.

 

He is survived by one child, Grant Launius and wife, Pamela, West Plains, Missouri; five grandchildren, David Murdy and significant other, Savanna Cunningham, West Plains, Missouri, Christina Dailey and husband, Tim, West Plains, Missouri, Heather Murdy and significant other, T.J. Howerton, Donna-Jean Acosta and husband, Dalton, Silver Springs, Nevada, and Sarah Summers and husband, Steven, Mountain Home, Arkansas; and nine great-grandchildren, Max, Lucas, Meadow, Aidan, Miguel, Kenneth Lee, Amaya-Marie, William Tate, and Zephania.

 

His parents, wife, two brothers, Leroy Launius and Henry Launius, and one sister, Betty Pickard, preceded him in death.

 

Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO  65775. Online condolences may be expressed at www.robertsondrago.com.
