Effie Ann Hutson

Effie Ann Hutson, 81 years, 9 months and 5 days, of Viola, Arkansas, departed this life to go to her Heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 7, 2023, in Salem, Arkansas.

She was born on January 12, 1942, to the late Lonnie (Doc) and Lydia Mitchell Hutson. Effie attended NE High School in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated in 1960. She attended the Berean School of the Bible Assemblies of God in 1970 and the Pentecostal Church of God in 1989. In her working years she held various jobs in the Kansas City area. She worked at Cargill Pork in Marshall, Missouri, from 1993 until her retirement in 2007. Effie worked on a dairy farm, which she enjoyed very much. She pastored several Pentecostal churches and most recently pastored the Mountain Home Pentecostal Church of God in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Effie is survived by her cousins, James and Irine Hutson of Viola, Arkansas, Anna Humphries of Sturkie, Arkansas, Judy Shrable of Viola, Arkansas, Dwayne and Terry Hutson of Marquand, Missouri, Vernon and Janie Hutson of Viola, Arkansas, Bobby Deatherage of Viola, Arkansas and Danny Deatherage of Jonesboro, Arkansas and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents; grandparents and a brother.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 11, 2023, beginning at 2:00 PM at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery in Mitchell, Arkansas.
