Johnnie “Sandy” Louise Dalton

Johnnie “Sandy” Louise Dalton departed this life December 10, 2023. Her love transcended to many throughout her precious life. She was born in Durant, Oklahoma, to Shuller and Francis Grant, on April 4, 1952.

She married the love of her life, Dale Clinton Dalton, on October 14, 1968. They shared precious memories and life’s trials and tribulations by each other’s side for over 55 years. Many knew Johnnie as “Mama Sandy”. She always had her arms wide open to give a warm hug, always offering kindness and compassion to anyone in need. We always knew God needed a sassy redheaded beautiful saint of a wife, mother, and nanny. No love can ever measure the love of our lovely wife and mother.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents, Shuller and Francis Grant, and her brother, Elton Grant.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dale C. Dalton, her four children, son, Dale C. Dalton II and his wife, Cindy, son, Gregory A. Dalton, daughter, Susan M. Dalton, and son, Michael C. Dalton, seven grandchildren, Clinton and his significant other, Cynthia, Chelsea and her husband, Josh, Makayla and her significant other, Ronnell, Gregory, Terry and his wife, Sammi, Gabrielle, and Kayden, and seven great-grandchildren, Abel, Emmie, Landyn, Scarlet, Harmony, Cam-Ron, and Thorin. She leaves behind a legacy of everlasting love.

“Life is so short; love with all your heart those near and dear to you.”
